In the clip, Trump tells Woodward, “I’m the only one he’s dealing with,” referring to Kim.

“The word chemistry. You meet someone and you have good chemistry,” Trump added of the North Korean leader. I understand.”

Asked Trump about his relationship with Kim, Woodward said the CIA considers him “ultimately stupid.”

During his tenure, Mr. Trump personally met with Chairman Kim and facilitated peace talks between the United States, North Korea and South Korea.

Trump has also reportedly exchanged what he called “love letters” with the North Korean leader.

The new clip, which aired Monday on CNN, promoted Woodward’s new audiobook, “The Trump Tape: Bob Woodward’s 20 Interviews with President Donald Trump,” which was released Tuesday.

The clip can also be heard at Woodward’s op-ed in the Washington Posthe argued that audiobooks were essential to understanding the former president, who he calls a threat to democracy.

The audiobook contains the full audio of 20 one-on-one interviews with the former president that Woodward conducted prior to the release of his 2020 book, Rage.
