Shipping companies said winter storms will affect pre-holiday deliveries

FedEx has issued a statement that it is experiencing considerable disruption at its Memphis and Indianapolis hubs due to inclement weather that has created potentially dangerous operating conditions.

UPS also said the weather had affected its air and ground networks, including its hub in Rockford, Illinois.
Amazon said some customers’ orders may be delayed after inclement weather.
USPS’s Tim Norman said letter carriers work around the clock to ensure that their customers’ packages and letters reach their final destination by Sunday.
“It’s going well,” said Norman. “I’m going to do everything possible, as much as possible.”
All companies reiterate that the safety of their employees is their number one priority, and that any delays will arrive as soon as possible.
Shoppers WGN spoke to say they understand the fate of their packages is irreparable, and that even if they’re late, they can still have a good time.
