Police release sketches of man suspected of assaulting child in beach bathroom
CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man suspected of assaulting a 4-year-old child in a bathroom at Rainbow Beach in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood.
A 4-year-old child was using a bathroom on the beach around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Block 3000 on East 7th Avenue when an unidentified man broke in and sexually assaulted the child, police said. In addition, he ran away.
The perpetrator has been identified as 5’8-5’10” tall, weighing 180-210 pounds, and aged 35-40.
He had short black hair, unshaven facial hair, and was seen wearing a tan T-shirt, green shorts, and black sandals.
Police are asking local residents who were in Rainbow Beach between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.
