Police: Ogle County man arrested for DUI after ATV crash
DAVIS JUNCTION, Illinois (WTVO) — An Ogle County man was arrested Sunday after being seriously injured in an ATV crash.
At approximately 3:08 a.m., an ATV vehicle was involved in an accident near the intersection of W. Chicago and N. Maple Avenues, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, and agents responded.
They found 46-year-old Michael Rich III was driving a red Honda ATV heading west down Chicago Avenue when it rolled over several times when it entered a ditch. Rich was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. At the time of this writing, his condition was unknown.
During the crash investigation, it turned out that 31-year-old Ryan Brantley was moving in front of Ricci in a black Polaris UTV. Brantley was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
He was also issued a subpoena for driving an off-road vehicle on the street.
Brantley is being held in Ogle County Jail in lieu of bail. The crash is under investigation.
