Philadelphia shootings: 2-year-old girl among 7 injured in Strawberry Mansion shooting
Seven people were injured in a shooting on a Philadelphia schoolyard Thursday night.
Philadelphia Police said the shooting was reported at about 5:50 p.m. ET on the playground of the James G. Blaine School in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.
Police said six people between the ages of 2 and 31 were taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. All were reported to be in stable condition as of Thursday night.
Police said they were looking for three male suspects and a CBS Philadelphia, 2011-16 gray four-door Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania license plates. reportAt the time of the shoot, all three were in surveillance photos wearing black clothing, including masks and hooded sweatshirts. One suspect was wearing a black sweater with the New Balance logo on the front.
A 2-year-old girl was shot once in the leg, while a 15-year-old boy was shot twice in the chest and once in the right thigh, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was shot twice. One time he was shot in his arm and leg, police said, and another his 16-year-old boy was shot in his arm once. A 13-year-old boy was shot in his hand, police said.
A 31-year-old woman was shot twice in the leg, police said.
A 17-year-old boy suffered a scrape on his left thigh and was taken to hospital by Uber, police said.
Police say the suspect has not been arrested and no motive was given. The circumstances of the shooting were still unknown.
according to CBS Philadelphiapolice found about 28 shell casings at the scene.
