Maywood Church Rebuilt After Great Fire

MAYWOOD, Illinois — The community gathered Monday afternoon to honor the church destroyed by the fire in Maywood.

Reverend Ronald Beamon, Pastor of New Life in Christ Bible Church, invited the congregation to gather for Wednesday night’s prayer vigil.

The Maywood Fire Department said once firefighters confirmed no one was inside, they had to go outside because the flames spread so quickly.

Beamon said there was even damage to a neighbor’s house.

He is now asking neighbors and communities to come together and pray for the church community.

a go fund me was created to help replace music equipment, PA systems, and anything else you fear insurance won’t cover.

The fire chief said the fire was still under investigation.
