Man found dead in freezer in Minnesota, hiding from police: investigators
Biwavic, Minnesota (AP) — A man found dead in a freezer in Minnesota last month was hiding from police, investigators said in a preliminary report.
The body of Brandon Lee Bushman, 34, of Babbitt, Minnesota, was found on June 26 in a freezer in the basement of an empty house in the town of Biwavic.
Police said in a news release on Friday that investigators believed Bushman was hiding in the house because a warrant for his arrest was in effect.
It is believed that he voluntarily entered the freezer to hide, possibly because police were nearby.
Police said the freezer was an older model and could not be opened from the inside. The house had no electricity and the freezer was not working when Bushman’s body was found.
