Man dies in West Inglewood shooting
A man was shot dead in West Inglewood on Friday night, police said.
Andre Barker, 43, was shot multiple times around 8:30 p.m. at Block 5600 on South Wolcott Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Coroner’s Office.
The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and detectives are investigating.
The incident was the second fatality of the day in West Inglewood. Within four hours, a 30-year-old man was shot dead at Block 7000 on South Justin Street in the southern part of the district, according to Chicago police.
