Man arrested for allegedly pointing gun at bus driver at Back of the Yard

A man has been detained after allegedly pointing a gun at a bus driver after a minor traffic accident at Back of the Yards on Sunday.

Chicago Police said the man was driving a gray 2000 Chevrolet Silverado when he was hit by a bus at block 5100 on South Ashland Avenue around 11:30 a.m.

Police said the bus driver, a 37-year-old woman, stepped out to take a picture of Silverado when the man got out of the car and pointed a gun at her. The man then got into the car and drove off. He then returned to the scene and pointed a gun at the 57-year-old man.

Officers later found the car in a nearby park and detained the man who threw the gun into the lagoon, according to police spokesman Tom Ahern. The gun was fished out of the water by Marines.

Your claim is pending.
