Lincoln Park Zoo reveals names for new lion cubs
The Chicago-Lincoln Park Zoo has revealed the names of its newest trio of lion cubs.
Named in collaboration with members of Tanzania’s Maasai community, the three male lion cubs are called Pesho, Shidai and Romerok.

Pesho means ‘unexpected gift’, Sidai means ‘good’ and Lomelok means ‘sweet’.
The Cubs recently met their father, Jabari, about two months after their mother, Zari. gave birthThe lion cub also has an older brother named Piri-Piri, the first lion cub born at the zoo in 20 years, who recently celebrated his first birthday.
The cubs will remain behind the scenes at the zoo for a few more weeks before being introduced to the rest of Pride, according to officials.
