January 6th Chicago Man Indicted in Capitol Riot

CHICAGO — A Chicago man faces criminal charges over a riot at the US Capitol almost two years ago.

James McNamara has been identified as the suspect who repeatedly rammed a metal bike rack into the door of the Capitol, federal officials said.

Court documents reveal that authorities matched surveillance images to the 61-year-old’s driver’s license.

The agent also linked him to the photo from an online review of his water heater installation company.

McNamara turned himself in on Tuesday and is currently out on bail.
