Mount Carroll, Ill. (WTVO) — Two Freeport men were involved in a crash Wednesday after losing control of a pickup truck towing a trailer.
Jeffrey Wilson, 55, and Samuel Wilson, 22, were in 2012 Chevrolet pickup trucks pulling trailers of farm tractors, according to Joe Davis County Sheriff. I was heading east on East Rolland Road in the Mount Carroll countryside.
Police said the driver, Jeffrey Wilson, lost control and the pickup veered off the road, crashed through a fence, ran onto an embankment, rolled over and rested in a pasture.
Samuel Wilson was injured in the accident and taken to a hospital in Freeport.
Jeffrey Wilson was not injured, but was charged with not slowing down to avoid an accident.
