Driver rescued after car got stuck in Rockford tree
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police have yet to release details about how the car was driven into a tree Wednesday night.
First responders were called to Kishwaukee Street, just south of Harrison Avenue, around 8:30 p.m., according to the Rockford Fire Department.
The vehicle was severely damaged and was stuck vertically in a tree branch. The driver had to be rescued from the vehicle, according to the fire department.
A power pole fell on a nearby railroad track.
Kishwaukee Road was closed to traffic as the site was cleared.
The driver’s medical condition has not yet been announced.
