ROCK COUNTY, Wisconsin (WTVO) – A man died Friday night after he crashed his motorcycle into a semi-trailer in rural Rock County.

A 30-year-old motorcyclist from Janesville attempted to pass multiple cars and a semi-tractor trailer while traveling west on Block 12700 of U.S. Route 59 in Lima Township, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Department. . As he returned to the westbound lane to avoid oncoming traffic, he collided with the rear driver’s side of the semi.

Investigators declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office said a coroner may reveal the identity at a later date.
