California teacher accused of threatening violence against students in secretly recorded video

San Bernardino, California (KTLA) – A Southern California high school teacher was put on leave Monday after a video that went viral on social media allegedly threatened violence against a schoolgirl.

Robert Bean, an English teacher at Cajon High School in San Bernardino, was secretly taped by a student during class earlier this week.

The TikTok video begins with a text overlay that reads, “A 53-year-old man says to a middle schooler.”

In the video, Bean can be heard yelling and at one point saying: I just want to slam her face against the wall because she is a disrespectful and rebellious brat child. ”

After the video was posted, both former and current students flooded the comments section of the video with their problems they had with Bean.

It is unclear why Bean made the comments in the video, but several students said Bean was notorious for making inappropriate comments.

One student told KTLA that Bean crossed the line when he specifically threatened a student during a rant.

“Not only was it unprofessional, it shouldn’t have been on campus,” said Mia Munoz, a senior at Cajon High School.

Megan Soult, a former student who graduated from Cajon High School 12 years ago, remembers what happened when Bean learned in high school that he had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.

“He embarrassed me and humiliated me in front of my entire class. Not just my very private, but my very personal medical information.” It just baffles me when this issue comes up and how many people have brought it to the attention of the school administration staff and nothing has been done yet.”

The San Bernardino City Unified School District has since released a statement in response to the video.

“We are monitoring the same social media posts and are aware of the comments. can call SBCUSD Employee Relations at 909-381-1123.”

Bean took a leave of absence Monday as the district continues to investigate.
