Burglar crashes car into Rockford car rental center, steals 3 TVs

ROCKFORD, IL (WTVO) — Rockford Police are looking for a thief who broke into a rental store over the weekend.

Police said it was 3 a.m. when officers responded to the alarm at the Rent-A-Center at 3818 W Riverside Blvd.

When officers arrived, they found the front window and doorway shattered.

Police say the thief drove into the store’s door and stole three large-screen TVs.

Authorities did not provide an account of the suspect, nor did they disclose whether the location was actively monitored.
