Eagle Pass, Texas (KVEO) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents seized 44 pounds of liquid meth hidden inside a pumpkin-stuffed condom.

On Tuesday, CBP Field Operations Office personnel encountered a 2012 Ford Escape arriving from Mexico at the port of entry in Eagle Pass, Texas. news release According to CBP.

The vehicle was referred for a secondary inspection and officers found 44 pounds of liquid methamphetamine in 136 condoms packed inside four pumpkins.

The drugs and vehicle were seized and the vehicle’s driver and passenger were turned over to the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office.

“Our frontline CBP officers have seen just about everything and this Tuesday was no exception when they encountered liquid methamphetamine hidden in pumpkins. and in the process discovered some pretty novel drug-smuggling methods.”
