16-year-old boy shot in the face at Back of the Yard
CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot in the face early Thursday morning in the Back of the Yards district.
As the boy was walking down Block 4800 on South Honore Street at 2:20 a.m., a blue minivan approached and the man in the car opened fire.
The boy fled west on 49th Street.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the left side of his face.
No one is currently in custody and police continue to investigate.
