Mega Millions Jackpot Increases to $640 Million, Highest Lottery Game Ever | Wagon Radio 720

With no winners in the lottery’s latest giant jackpot, the Mega Millions top prize has increased again to an estimated $640 million.

The numbers drawn late Friday night were 10, 24, 48, 51, 66 and the gold Megaball 15.

The estimated $640 million jackpot will be distributed in the next drawing only to winners who opt for the 29-year annuity. Nearly all Grand Prize winners opted for cash payments, with an estimated $328 million in Tuesday night’s drawing.

In a statement, Mega Millions said the jackpot was the seventh largest in gaming history.

Four tickets matched all five white balls, winning the second prize level in the draw. Tickets sold in South Carolina included an optional multiplier and were valued at $2 million. Two California tickets and one North Carolina ticket were also second-round winners, according to Mega Millions.

Despite the game’s long odds of 1 in 302.6 million, players keep buying tickets as the prize pool grows.

The last time a Mega Millions player won the top prize was on April 18th.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, as well as Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.
