‘Ride for the Troops’ Hosted by Plainfield’s Webb Auto Group Benefits US Navy

Plainfield, Illinois — On Sunday morning, dozens of people gathered in the southern suburbs to support the USO.

Sixty riders took part in a 10- to 20-mile bike ride that started at Plainfield around 10 a.m. to support US military personnel, according to USO Midwest Regional President Alison Ruble.

Ride for the Troops was sponsored by Webb Auto Group and TREK Bikes of Naperville and Downers Grove.

The bike ride was a precursor to the USO Military BBQ event on July 15th.

Attendees also had the opportunity to eat snacks and drinks provided by Garage Band Brewery and listen to local School of Rock in Plainfield. There was also a raffle.
