A memorial service for fallen Machesney Park firefighters will be held on Tuesday

MUTCHESNEY PARK, Illinois (WTVO) — Family, friends and fellow first responders say goodbye to McChesney Park firefighter Brian Lehnberg on Tuesday.

Renberg, 50, died on Christmas Day after returning home from his shift, according to North Park Fire Chief Joel Hallstrom.

Rehnberg has been with the North Park Fire as a firefighter and engineer since 2008, and has previously worked with the Cherry Valley Fire and Lifeline Ambulance.

The visit will begin at 10:00 AM at the Indoor Sports Center at Love’s Park, followed by a uniformed walkthrough at 12:30 PM.

The funeral will take place at 1:00 pm, leaving the Sports Center for the Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Rockford, where his final call will be made.
