5 Unusual Sports You Should Try

People have different hobbies. Some people are interested in playing video games professionally, some are into watching eSports. Some sports are so unusual that not many people know about them. Here is a list of five unusual sports you should try.

1) Cosmic Bowling

Cosmic bowling is an activity where you bowl at night, with black lights and LED lanes, usually accompanied by loud music and disco lights to create the movie-like atmosphere this sport requires for being fun! If this sounds like something you’d love to try out, make sure you check out your local bowling alley if they offer cosmic bowling sessions during certain nights of the week or weekends, as it’s only available during limited hours. Just make sure you carry plenty of cash on you, as songs are not free and they cost money to play, but it’s all worth it!

2) Dota 2

Dota 2 is not a sport in the ordinary sense of the word. It’s a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) video game, but a very popular one. It requires a lot of skill and knowledge to play well. Dota 2 is the most popular eSports video game in the world and is recognized as such by many sports leagues like The International (TI), ESL One, Dreamleague, and more. Dota 2 is a very complex and difficult game, but with some dedication and effort, you can become good at it, for example, at N1 BET eSports.

3) Arm Wrestling

Arguably the most well-known unusual sport of them all, arm wrestling is an activity where two people compete with each other to see who can pin their opponent’s hand down first. There are many variations of arm-wrestling, including tug of war and rock, paper, scissors. The most popular form of this game is called “Regular Arm Wrestling”. You place your elbow on a table with the other person opposite you; once both competitors are ready they lock hands and use their strength to try and bend his/her opponent’s arm back. This sport brings out the true brute force in men!

4) Speedskating

Speedskating is not as common as it used to be years ago, but some people still do it for fun or professionally. This sport requires a special kind of skates and ice surfaces. The sport goes as follows: place your left foot forward, right foot back, and push off with the right leg. Then do the same thing again with the opposite legs. Repeat this action for as long as it takes! Just be sure to wear protective gear so you don’t hurt yourself.

5) Underwater Hockey

This extreme sport is played in a pool and requires anywhere from six to ten players on each team and an eight-inch hooked stick that resembles a small shovel or paddle. Players wear snorkels and fins, but no breathing apparatus are needed – just hold your breath if you want to play underwater hockey! Each team has six players with three forwards, two defensemen, and a goalie. The object of the game is to work with your team in order to maneuver the puck across the bottom of the pool into the opposing team’s goal. If you are looking for something completely different to try out, then this sport might be for you!

So there are five unusual sports you should try. If you find these sports interesting, check out your local rec center or gym to see if any of them are offered. If not, search online for classes or find a suitable location near you and go to it! It’s time for some adventure and excitement – and you never know, it might just prove to be something worth your time!
