Teen trapped in claw machine at North Carolina theme park WGN Radio 720

Charlotte (WJZYMore) – A 13-year-old boy got stuck in a claw machine at a North Carolina amusement park over the weekend, a theme park spokesperson confirmed.

Staff at Carowinds Theme Park in Charlotte were notified of the strange incident before 2 p.m. Sunday, a spokesperson said. and climbed inside the Cosmic XL bonus game machine in Thrill Zone.

A park crew rescued the boy from the machine, after which medical staff tended to him. He was stuck for about 17 minutes, according to Parks.

Teenagers were released to their parents after treatment.

He has since been banned from the park for a year for attempted theft, a park representative told The Associated Press.
