Three people were killed and six were injured in a shooting in Chicago on Thursday, including a 14-year-old boy shot dead in Lawndale, Westside.

The teen was shot several times on the 1100 block sidewalk on South Karlov Avenue at around 1:45 pm. His family was loading their luggage to move to a safer place in the suburbs.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and sentenced to death.

He was identified as a Tyrestayer by the Cook County Medical Inspector’s Office.

The boy’s mother had moved her family to the suburbs to allow him to live in a more peaceful environment, according to a neighbor who said he was familiar with teens.

According to police, no one has been detained.

A 20-year-old man was shot deadly Thursday afternoon while sitting in a parked car in West Englewood.

Around 3:30 pm, another vehicle was pulled up and someone inside began shooting him, according to the Chicago Police Department, when the man was parked at block 6500 on South Claremont Avenue.

According to police, he suffered a gunshot wound in his chest and was taken to Oak Lawn’s Christ Medical Center, where he was sentenced to death.

A man sitting in a parked car in the West Humboldt Park area was shot dead shortly after someone was injured four blocks away in another shooting early Thursday morning.

According to police, the deadly shooting occurred at around 7:40 am when two shooters got off the black SUV and fired at 4100 blocks on West Iowa Street.

According to police, a 30-year-old man was beaten at least twice and taken to Strogger Hospital, where he died. His name has not been published.

Police said the man was parked around 7 pm when a dark-colored car was pulled up on the streets of 6500 blocks on South King Drive and someone inside began firing. He was struck on his thigh and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stable.

— A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting at the Chicago Lawn in the Southwest Side on Thursday afternoon. According to police, a gunman approached a teenager in an alley and fired at 6100 blocks on South Spalding Avenue at around 1:15 pm. The boy was shot in the groin and taken to Oak Lawn’s Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

— A man was shot dead in Schorsch Village on the northwest side Thursday morning. At around 11:10 am, police said the 41-year-old boy went to see someone living in the 6600 block of West Melrose Street. According to police, when he began to hit the person’s window, a man in the house at the time took out a gun and shot him in the buttocks. He was taken to Community First Hospital in good condition. According to police, the man was detained.

— In the first reported shooting of the day, a 28-year-old man was shot walking in Lonedale on the West Side. According to police, the man was walking 2700 blocks on West Harrison Street at around 1:20 am, when someone in a black SUV passing by fired and hit his foot. He went to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Nine people were shot dead and three died in Chicago on Wednesday.
