When a Virginia woman unexpectedly won the lottery and found out how much she had won, she was dancing around the kitchen.

When Linda Ryan saw an online notification, won the lotteryshe didn’t think much of it, she told a lottery official.

“I could have won $5 or $10,” a Seaford woman told a lottery official.

Little did she know. Her guess was hundreds of thousands of dollars short. Ryan won a $316,604 jackpot on his Cash 5 with EZ Match game, according to lottery officials. When he realized he had won the jackpot, Ryan started celebrating.

“I was dancing in the kitchen!” she told a lottery official.

Ryan matched all five numbers in the draw on August 30th. According to the Virginia Lottery, the odds of matching all five numbers are 1 in 749,398.

Ryan told lottery officials he has no immediate plans beyond paying bills.

Seaford is about 35 miles north of Norfolk.
