This year marks the 87th anniversary of the parade, featuring hundreds of performers, beloved mascots Teddy Turkey, Santa Claus marching bands and floats.
Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to line up on the street and watch over.
The parade begins at 8am on Ida B Wells Drive and the route heads north on State Street to Randolph Street.
Residents can expect the streets to be closed intermittently from 5 am to 2 pm and parking restrictions will be effective in the area.
Rich Guidice, Executive Director of OEMC, said: “We were a few months ago to plan and improve security measures that are implemented annually through tabletop exercises, strengthening and changing safety plans to ensure the safety and security of event attendees and staff. We will work closely with the event organizers. “
Audiences are advised to use public transport.
