Gary, Indiana (CBS)- The policeOn Sunday in Gary, Indiana-and a very strange fix was made when it turned out to be a life-sized doll, not the body they found.
Gary police issued a warning that they had found the body in the grass area, but hours later said it was not a body at all.

The 23-year-old Taylor last heard from late April 2nd. Police found her car on Monday and crashed from I-65.
Since then, police have been looking for K-9 units, ATVs, community hospitals, and even underwater, all unlucky. Her friends and her family formed a search team to find her at the beginning of the week.
After all that search, the Lake County Coroners office called Lake County Dispatch because they thought they found something on CBS 2 and a NIPSCO employee working near 15th Street and Lake Street. I was surprised. Police appeared and made a statement that they had found the body, but it was a doll.
CBS 2 asked police how it could be confused, and they said there was a sheet on the doll and that sheet couldn’t be removed to see until Coroner arrived at the scene. I did.
