The Asian-Pacific Parliament in Entertainment celebrates its annual Leader Fellowship All-Women Graduation Class – Deadline

Exclusive: Asian Pacific Union in Entertainment (CAPE) celebrates its fifth annual Creative Executive class, which graduated in 2021. CAPE Leader Fellowship, A selective incubator to provide the next generation of creative executives with the skills and a network of professionals to break into the VP rank.

“A wide range of research from Harvard Business Review to the Ascend Foundation confirms that Asian Americans are the least likely racial / ethnic group to be promoted from individual contributor roles to management.” CAPE Chairman Sanjay Sharma Said. “There’s a lot of work to do both in front of and behind the camera.”

Cape Is the premier non-profit organization that creates opportunities and drives change for the success of Asia Pacific Islanders (APIs) in Hollywood.

Modeled after the CAPE New Writers Fellowship, this fellowship develops the next generation of creative executives with the skills and professional network to enter VP ranks and above. This program helps executives in the AAPI community pave the way for senior decision-making positions that help drive change in the film and television industry. Fellows were effectively held where the fellows participated in master classes, workshops, roundtables, and one-on-one mentoring sessions with senior industry executives.

Janice Lee | Netflix, Original Independent Film Manager
Mahakuji crocodile | Jigsaw Productions, Script Content, Manager
Sam Campos | ABC Entertainment Drama Development Manager
Wendy Chuon | Netflix Original Series Manager

“In cooperation with CAPE NewWriters Fellowship, CAPE Leader Fellowship We’re completing a bottom-up and top-down approach to changing the story Hollywood tells about APIs, “said CAPE’s executive director. Michelle K. Sugihara said.. “Dismantling the systematic problems of film and television would not be possible without the decision makers of these executives.”
