Memphis, TennesseeWREG) — A Tennessee woman has been charged after police said she stole up to $ 60,000 in Nike merchandise from the DHL warehouse where she worked.
Chamon Davis worked in a warehouse in the Memphis area of delivery services before being arrested on Tuesday.
According to investigators, Davis has been accused of printing duplicate tracking numbers for items and using additional tracking numbers to ship stolen goods to another address.
A police affidavit revealed that Davis was captured by a Nike investigator. It is unknown how long the problem lasted.
Nike was able to collect the $ 10,000 worth of merchandise that was due to be delivered on Monday.
Police said Davis had confessed to the crime after being questioned by a detective and was subsequently charged with property theft.
Davis will be released from prison on Tuesday morning and will appear in court next month.
Nike and DHL did not respond immediately when asked to comment.
