Rockford, Illinois (WTVO) — Logan Wonder, 21, was sentenced to 33 years in prison for the killings of Zack Fosberg and Stephen Gander, who were killed in multiple shootings in July 2018.
Investigators said three men were shot dead on South Lincoln Street and Center Street, one block south of Sherland Avenue, just before 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 16.
South Beloit police say Fosberg, 19, Gander, and Kyle Haynes, 21, were shot dead during a battle between Wonder and a 17-year-old teenager.
Fosberg was shot in the upper chest, taken to the hospital, and later died.
Gander was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound on his head. He was later sentenced to brain death.
Haynes was shot in the legs and abdomen.
Police say an off-duty South Beloit police officer heard a bullet from his home and called a first responder to the 100S Lincoln Street area to respond.
According to police, Wonder and an unidentified 17-year-old boy and man moved to the South Beloit police station.
