Raiders took a penalty and defeated Cowboys 36-33 in OT | WGN Radio 720

Daniel Carlson of Arlington, Texas (AP) kicked a 29-yard field goal overtime after Anthony Brown’s fourth pass-interference penalty kept the drive alive, and the Las Vegas Raiders beat the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. Defeated at -33.

Carlson’s fifth field goal came after Brown was asked to interfere with Zey Jones on the third and 18th. All four of Brown’s interference penalties occurred due to the incomplete third down.

Raiders (6-5) lost three games in a row with their first Thanksgiving victory since 1968. Since then, it has been his fourth appearance on the holidays, with the previous two defeats at the Cowboys.

Carlson led Las Vegas 33-30 with a long career 56-yard player with 1:52 remaining. Greg Zuerlein, who missed an extra point after the first Dallas TD, said he was a 45-yard player with 19 seconds remaining.

Tony Pollard gave Dallas a 100-yard kick-off return in the third quarter, but was stopped within 15 yards to start extra time. The Cowboys have won three out of seven games, and the Raiders have won their third AFC West victory over the NFC East leader Cowboys (7-4) in the last four games.

Brown turned his back on Jones when Derek Carr threw a pass 43 in Las Vegas. The penalty placed the Raiders in Dallas 24, and a winning kick was taken after Dallas was penalized twice for rushing through the line of scrimmage before the snap.

Carr threw 373 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown strike to DeSean Jackson. Marcus Mariota scored a short goal with a shotgun keeper.

Dak Prescott passed 209 of the 375 yards in the fourth quarter. His 32-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Schultz and a two-point conversion toss to the tight end pulled the Cowboys even at 30:00 with 2:54 remaining after the Cowboys caught up almost from the beginning.

Bears 16, Lions 14

Detroit (AP) – Cairo Santos scored a 28-yard field goal in the final to lift Chicago beyond Detroit.

Bears (4-7) finished five games under the embarrassed coach Matt Nagy, who was answering questions about his work situation within 48 hours of the kick-off.

Lions (0-10-1) made many early to late mistakes to extend their skids to 15 games, returning to their victory in Chicago nearly a year ago.

Andy Dalton started in place of the injured rookie Justin Fields, leading the Bears in 18 plays, a 69-yard drive, with the final 8:30 off-time. Dalton finished 24 out of 39 yards at 317 yards with a go-ahead to Jimmy Graham, a 17-yard touchdown pass and a passcut in the second half of the first half.
