Naperville, Illinois — Sunday night tornadoes continue to have devastating effects on families in the southwestern suburbs as cleanup activities continue.

Police and utilities are trying to make sure it’s safe, but frankly, the residents of Naperville are in agreement with their new reality.

“For those who came out and helped, you are an angel. Now there are people who have a temporary fence for me,” Long Piper said.

The woman who lived next door was hospitalized on Monday, but she’s been fine on Tuesday. She has several rib fractures and lung collapse.

The city of Naperville will release more official information about the storm and the next steps on Tuesday afternoon.
