Logan, Ohio (WCMH) – Two parents in Ohio have arrest warrants after Ohio agents found a 3-year-old in a cage and a 2-year-old with a drug pipe during a raid on Sunday Confronted, the grandmother is detained. According to the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office.
HCSO says it issued a search warrant at the residence during the sexual assault investigation.
When authorities arrived at the house, they say they found the 3-year-old child secured with zip ties and trapped in a cage with bugs inside. A two-year-old boy was seen walking in the house.
Both children were taken into emergency custody.
The infant’s parents fled the residence after being involved in a sexual assault investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. Her 61-year-old Ella Webb, grandmother of the infant, was arrested and charged with endangering her child. After pleading her not guilty, her cash bond was set at $200,000.
Parents Franklin “TJ” Barney, 38, and Megan Smith, 25, were charged with child endangerment. A nationwide arrest warrant was requested by the court.
“I urge Mr. Barney and Mr. Smith to turn themselves in to law enforcement immediately. We will work tirelessly with all local, state, and federal resources to bring these two people to justice,” said Caleb J. Moritz, deputy director of the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office. on release.
