Ontario today reports 578 new COVID-19 cases and two viral deaths.
Health Minister Christine Elliott said that 408 cases were unvaccinated and 59 infected were partially immunized against the virus.
The new case number is based on 23,468 tests.
There are 111 people in the intensive care unit with severe COVID-related illness, and 72 patients are on mechanical ventilation.
According to Elliott, one in the intensive care unit was completely vaccinated and 110 were unvaccinated or had an unknown immune status.
According to the state, 81% of residents over the age of 12 have been vaccinated at least once with the COVID-19 vaccine and 72% have been fully vaccinated.
