OnePlus teases new announcements ahead of Samsung’s event

Shenzhen [China], August 11 (ANI): Samsung’s August Unpacked event is set to take place today, with foldable devices and wearables unveiled, but OnePlus appears to be trying to steal lightning.

The Chinese company has recently shared a teaser on the handle of social media, suggesting that it may soon announce a dual-screen phone. The tweet contains a short video clip using some sort of dual-screen mobile device, but it’s unclear exactly what to expect.

OnePlus will be hosting this mystery device event today at 10am on August 11th. This is the same time Samsung Unpacked starts.

The tweet says “8.1110 am ET.” LG has already done a second screen phone case (more than once), so it might be a little disappointing if OnePlus got it all. That said, the durability of Samsung’s early foldable devices was disappointing, which could be a way for OnePlus to poke bears on big days.

I’ve never seen or heard rumors about the new OnePlus hardware. Therefore, it is possible that we are announcing a concept device.

At first glance, the next device looks like a foldable, but if you look closely, this device has two displays that may be hinged together, and in fact it’s a flexible display that folds like a Samsung. You can see that it is not.

From the teaser, it looks like there are two displays with a minimal bezel, a volume locker on the left side of one display, and a power key and a physical alert slider on the right side of the other display.

All Samsung are ready to launch Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 tonight during the virtual event, The Verge reported.

South Korean tech giant will also launch a new Galaxy Watch running Google’s Wear OS 3. Rumor has it that a new pair of wireless earphones, the Galaxy Buds 2, may also be available. The event may also feature a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip 3. (ANI)
