Private plane carrying Grammy Award winner Karol G makes emergency landing in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) – A private plane carrying singer Karol G made an emergency landing at a Los Angeles airport Thursday night, reports said.

According to KABC-TV, the plane carrying the Grammy Award winners landed at Van Nuys Airport around 9 p.m., but there were no immediate reports of injuries.

The plane left Hollywood Burbank Airport with 16 passengers on board and flew east, but turned back after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit, KABC reported.

The cause of the failure was not immediately known.

Karol G won her first Grammy Award and was named Billboard’s 2024 Woman of the Year in February. The Colombian singer-songwriter will be honored at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 6th.
