Naperville teacher District 203 has reached a tentative agreement on a new deal

Naperville, Illinois — During a district teacher strike for the first time in 30 years, the Naperville Unit Education Association and Naperville District 203 reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, both parties announced on Monday night.

The contract for 1,500 teachers expired at the end of June. Their union, Naperville Unit Education Association, and district have been in talks since January. Among the issues with the new contract table were paid and paid sick leave.

“In today’s mediation session, we are pleased to announce that the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education and the Naperville Unit Education Association (NUEA) have reached a tentative agreement on a multi-year contract.
