Man killed, another injured in Austin shooting

A man was killed and another injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Austin on the West Side.

Chicago Police said two men approached and opened fire on a 500-block sidewalk on North Ramon Avenue around 3:55 a.m.

Charles Lawrence, 35, was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County coroner’s office said.

A second man, 28, suffered abrasions and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park for treatment.

No one was detained.
