The amount of foreign trade during the same period increased by 30.2% from the previous year to 79.1 billion yuan. Exports increased 21.5% to 16.87 billion yuan, and imports increased 32.8% to 62.23 billion yuan.
In the first six months of 2021, value added from the state’s major industrial enterprises increased by about 16 percent compared to the same period last year.
In particular, the value added of the automotive manufacturing sector increased by 15.4% year-on-year during the period. China’s car brand is growing rapidly, and China’s iconic sedan brand, Hongqi, saw a 112% surge in production from the same period last year.
