Hindsdale’s father and son duo use podcasts to bridge the intergenerational gap between Generation X and Generation Z.

Chicago (WLS)-Hinsdale’s father and son use their own podcast to tackle family issues between Generation X and Generation Z.

“Hold Me Back” is working to bridge the growing gap between generations. Aidan and Ash El Difrawi approach each episode on a hot (and sometimes controversial) topic to discuss, discuss and challenge how teens today are raised.

They publish research on the subject and discuss it from their respective perspectives (Generation X or Generation Z). At the end of each episode, the two join a section called the “You Convinced Me” section to discuss what other generations have taught them. Throughout each episode, Generation X and Generation Z (parents and teens) listeners identify places that may be preventing other generations from living their best lives, and between generations within their family. Listen to advice on closing the gap.

Topics they discuss include taunts, youth sports, screen time, and relationship values.

Aidan is 16 years old and is in her third year at Hindsdale High School.

Ash, Aidan’s Dad, is a clinical psychologist specializing in family therapy and is an executive of one of the most prestigious companies in the world.
