HGTV Greenlights “Farm House Fixer” starring Jonathan Knight – Deadline

HGTV Gave the green light of the series Farmer fixer, Featuring New Kids On The Block Jonathan Knight.. It will premiere on HGTV on Wednesday, March 3rd at 9pm ET / PT.

The 6-episode series features Knight, a home remodeling of over 200 homes. He carefully maintains the original craftsmanship and historic charm of a classic home, while modernizing the layout, updating the interior and giving clients endless reasons to cheer.

“Restoring an American farmhouse is not just a hobby for me. It’s my passion, my obsession, and I’ve done it for over 25 years,” Knight said. “It’s very easy to beat old houses. It’s much harder to refurbish them so that the family can enjoy them for years to come. That’s why this piece is so valuable.”

To start the season, Knight brings new life to New Hampshire farmers in the 1700s with the help of his designer and friend Christina Crestin. To stabilize the property, Jonathan needs to get rid of the sinking additions to the house, but on the plus side, he turns the backyard tool shed into a stunning potted bench and chicken coop. In future episodes, he will complete custom renovations of additional old homes, such as creating an enviable chef’s kitchen and a built-in seating area for a large dining room. During the season, outdoor projects include everything from goat enclosures to elevated garden beds.

“I love good old farmers,” Knight said. “For me, being on a farm is a way of life. It’s real. Old farms are disappearing from the landscape, but these are American treasures to be preserved.”
