Kenosha police save elderly driver after flat tire causes vehicle fire

KENOSHA, Wisconsin — A minivan caught fire on Tuesday night as an 84-year-old man continued to drive with sparks from a flat tire.

according to Kenosha Police DepartmentJust after 9 p.m. Tuesday, police officers attempted to stop traffic when the minivan’s wheels began sparking on the road.

The 84-year-old driver continued driving until a spark ignited the minivan, immediately engulfing the car in flames.

As the minivan stopped, Kenosha police officers fled the cruiser and dragged an 84-year-old man out of the burning vehicle.

No injuries have been reported.
