Becky Briefnick’s body was found by her family in her home after she failed to pick up her children from school. Authorities said she had been shot multiple times.

According to reports, the Briefnick couple were separated and in the process of divorcing at the time of Becky Briefnick’s death. A restraining order was also issued against Timothy Briefnick, who also had a restraining order against his wife.

Becky Briefnick’s sister took the stand Wednesday to explain a text message she received in 2021.

The text reads: “If something happens to me, make sure Tim is the first person to care about. I made it.”

During cross-examination, Becky Briefnick’s sister said she did not pass the message on to police before she died.

Timothy Briefnick and some of his family members starred in the long-running TV game show Family Feud in 2020.

One question from host Steve Harvey was, “What was the biggest mistake you made at your wedding?” Briefnick replied, “I think so.”

He immediately told Harvey, “Not what I should say, not what I should say. I love my wife.” Harvey replied, “You’re going to have a hard time paying for your house.”

Timothy Briefnick’s lawyers say the prosecution’s take on the shooting is too far-fetched for the father of three.
