Doncic and Mavericks rout Grizzlies to finish 11 streak | WGN Radio 720

Luka Doncic, Memphis, Tennessee (AP) scored a triple-double with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, and the Dallas Mavericks used the second half of the rally to rout Memphis 112-85 on Friday night in Memphis. The winning streak has ended. 11 games.

Doncic scored 18 points in the second half and connected with 8 out of 10 shots. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points, Jalen Brunson and Marquese Chris each scored 15 points, and Brunson added 9 assists.

Ja Morant led Memphis with 19 points and 8 assists, with Desmond Bane adding 16 points and Kyle Anderson adding 12 points. The Grizzlies lost for the first time since December 23rd.

Mavericks was playing well while Memphis recorded the best consecutive wins in the franchise. Dallas achieved six straight victories before losing 108-85 in New York on Wednesday night.

Sands 112, Pacers 94

Indianapolis (AP) – Devin Booker scored 35 points, Deandre Ayton scored 27 points and 12 rebounds, and NBA leader Phoenix beat Indiana.

Chris Paul added 12 points and 9 assists to Phoenix, and Campain had 11 points and 5 assists. Sands finished the first half of season 32-9. This is the second best record in franchise history for the first 41 games.

Justin Holiday scored 25 points in Indiana, Caris LeVert scored 20 points, and Domantas Sabonis added 14 points and 14 rebounds. The Pacers lost three games in a row, losing nine out of ten.

Booker scored 22 points in the third quarter, helping Sands lead 80-76 in the fourth quarter. 73-76 down, Phoenix had a 23-2 run to take the lead of 96-78.

Warriors 139, Bulls 96

Chicago (AP) – Andrew Wiggins scored 21 points, Stephen Curry added 19 points, and the Golden State passed Chicago with the most biased victory of the season.

Rookie Jonathan Kuminga finished with 25 points and Jordan Poole scored 22 points. The Warriors got out of the rut early on after dropping 4 out of 5. It was a kind of breather needed to get out of the biased defeat of defending champion Milwaukee the night before.

The Bulls lost star Zach LaVine in the opening minutes due to a left knee injury. They were booed from the court 78-47 in half time and suffered the worst defeat of the season. Nikola Vucevic scored 19 points and 14 rebounds in Chicago. The Bulls suffered their third defeat in four games after winning nine straight games.

HEAT 124, HAWKS 118

Miami (AP) – Tyler Herro scored 24 points, Jimmy Butler sprained his ankle and added 23, returning from a three-game miss. Miami has rallyed to defeat Atlanta.

Omer Yurtseven scored 17 points and 11 rebounds, and PJ Tucker also scored 17 points to help Miami take first place at the Eastern Conference in the Chicago match. Heat has won seven straight games at home.

Trae Young scored 24 points in Atlanta. Atlanta recovered from 17 early and led 10 in the second half to escape.

76ERS 111, Celtics 99

Philadelphia (AP) – Joel Embiid scored 25 points and 13 rebounds, with Philadelphia using a 28-2 first-quarter run to rout Boston.

Embiid finished 5 points, embarrassed to set a franchise record of 30 points or more in 9 consecutive games. He is tied in eight rows in a row with the clubmarks of Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain.

Tyrese Maxey scored 23 points, Tobias Harris and Seth Curry added 17 each, and 76ers won their eighth win in nine games. Jaylen Brown scored 21 points in Boston.


Charlotte, NC (AP) – Moritz Wagner scored the season’s highest 26 points, his brother Franz added 19 points and 7 assists, and Orlando defeated Charlotte for 10 consecutive games.

Gary Harris added 18 points to help the NBA’s worst Magic improve to 8-35.

LaMelo Ball had 23 points and 8 assists for the Hornets.

Cavaliers 114, Spurs 109

San Antonio (AP) – Darius Garland scored 28 points and Cleveland gave San Antonio five consecutive victories.

Jarrett Allen added 17 points and 16 rebounds for Cleveland to achieve three and four consecutive wins in five games.

Dejounte Murray scored 30 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for San Antonio.

Kings 126, Rocket 114

Sacramento, CA (AP) – Marvin Bagley III set a season record of 26 points and 13 rebounds to help Sacramento defeat Houston in the opening round of the two-game set.

De’Aaron Fox added 27 points and 8 assists, Buddy Hield scored 19 points, and Harrison Barnes scored 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Christian Wood scored 26 points in Houston.

The team will meet again in Sacramento on Sunday.

Pistons 103, Raptors 87

Detroit (AP) – Trey Lyles scored 21 points, Cade Cunningham and Hamidudiaro each added 18 points, and Detroit defeated Toronto.

Piston has lost 18 in the last 19 games and is 5-3 in 2022 after finishing 2021.

Fred VanVleet scored 24 points and 10 assists in Toronto.
