David Lee Csicsko – Chicago Magazine

Artist’s David Lee Csicsko has a talent for bold graphics with a whimsical touch. It’s obvious to anyone who sees the Lakeview Belmont L station. There, his brightly colored cartoon-like facial mosaics welcome the rider. “I’m trying to create smart and fun images that make you smile,” says Csicsko.

There are two books in his project in 2022. LGBTQ + iconOut in June, and the scientist, Scheduled for this fall. Full of his vibrant portraits of both famous and overlooked figures, they celebrate diversity, wisdom, and creativity.
