CTA suspends Yellow Line service after train hits people in Skokie

CHICAGO — The CTA suspended service on parts of the yellow line Saturday night after a train accident struck people in Skokie, the CTA said.

Buses replaced train service between Skokie and Howard.

The CTA said the person was hit by a southbound train.

An investigation into the incident is still ongoing, but the CTA said it appeared to be a “coincidence.”

It is not clear if those who were hit were injured or what their condition was.
