Crime in Chicago News: Police say a man wanted to stab three machete knives on the Northwest Side of Logan Square in Belmont Crazin.

Chicago (WLS)-Police said there could be one person responsible for three different machete attacks on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

The first two attacks occurred at Logan Square and the second at Belmont Kradin. The first attack occurred while walking alone on North Drake Avenue, 2600 blocks, around 1:10 am on September 5. According to police, he approached from behind and was stabbed many times.

The second attack occurred in the same neighborhood around 2:40 am on November 20th. A man was chased after being hit on the back of his head with a hammer while walking his dog on 2200 blocks on North St. Louis Avenue. At the machete, the police said. The third attack occurred just four days later, around 2:40 am on November 24, when another man was walking his dog. He approached 5800 blocks on West Alto Geld Street and slashed many times at the machete.

According to police, the criminals in all three cases are described as white men aged 25-35 years, about 6 feet tall and with short brown hair. He was thin, average-sized, well-shaving, and wore a dark-colored zip-up jacket that hides his weapons underneath.

According to police, in two cases the criminal fled the area using a brightly colored Toyota Camry. In any case, there is no evidence that a robbery was attempted.

Chicago police said locals should refrain from walking alone at night, talking to strangers, or approaching strangers. Police added that people need to be aware of their surroundings and travel to bright, populated areas.

Authorities require anyone to call 911 to report a suspicious person, vehicle, or activity. They also want the public to be aware of the situation and warn their neighbors.

Police did not provide further information about the incident.
