Corpse pulled from Lake Michigan, police say

Authorities pulled the body from Lake Michigan on Tuesday night.

Police said the body of an unidentified man around the age of 30 was removed from the water around 9:30 pm at 700 blocks on East 31st Avenue, where the beach and harbor on 31st Avenue are located.

Police said the Chicago Fire Department’s marine forces were responding to those in need. The man was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital and sentenced to death.

Police said the detective was investigating the death.

4 people washed away Along the banks of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan in early April.

The city saw 56 people were drowned in Lake Michigan in 2020.
