Cool iPhone Updates Include Genius New Features

Apple’s next iPhone software update is iOS 14.6, which isn’t a mega release like iOS 14.5, but it does have some great features.

One of them uses AppClips for Shazam. As you can remember, App Clips was announced by Apple last year and started appearing in iOS 14.3.

App Clips are small pieces of apps that are less than 10MB in size and are designed to perform specific jobs. This is important. You don’t have to go to the App Store to find your app, download it, and configure it. Up. After all, it can mean waiting a long time for the download, not to mention the hassle of adding account details and more.

The app clip avoids it by simply downloading the relevant bit quickly. Of course, you can download the entire app later if you wish.

There are app clips for several apps such as Etsy, Panera Bread, and SmartGym.

But now iOS 14.6 has an app clip for Shazam, a music recognition app. This is an app that Apple purchased a few years ago and has been integrated into iOS since iOS 14.2.

The good news is that you can download the app, open it, and listen to the songs that were finished by the time you pressed the button.

Of course, you can say, “Hey, Siri, what’s this song?” But that is not always practical. Shazam isn’t an app, but it’s built-in, so you can add it as an item in the Control Center.[設定],[コントロールセンター]Go to and find the location with the Shazam logo, called Music Recognition.

Swipe down from the top right corner of the iPhone display to launch Control Center and enthusiastically press the music recognition button. Once you know what this song is, you’ll see a banner at the top of your iPhone screen. Tap it to go to shazam.com with track details and an invitation to listen to Apple Music.

However, since iOS 14.6, something else will happen.

Listen as before, swipe and press, but this time tap the banner and something else happens. A tile will open on the screen prompting you to “search for a song”. Tap it to see song details, invitations to play on Apple Music, and links so you can fully download the Shazam app if you want.

You don’t have to do that, and you may find that a small AppClip is sufficient. thank you. Either one is fine.

The familiar Shazam logo is surrounded by a dotted line indicating that it’s an app clip rather than a complete app, so you can find it in your app library.

Press and hold to see options for deleting, viewing in the App Store, and sharing with others.

The App Clip download worked very well in very short seconds, taking up very little space, if not as comprehensive as the full Shazam app.

App clips are attractive. Many parking apps available in London are waiting to add personal information to yet another app, providing app clips to save me standing in the rain.

In the meantime, iOS 14.6 has a few extra features for music lovers.
