Closed for Thanksgiving: Retailers closed in Chicago prior to Black Friday while the restaurant welcomed guests

Chicago (WLS)-Millions of Americans are accustomed to the tradition of leaving home for Thanksgiving to catch Black Friday deals, but this year almost all retailers close in Chicago this Thursday afternoon. It is not the choice to be done.

Some people like it, but tourists are having a pretty peaceful day.

With no shopping bags visible, people are taking a Thanksgiving vacation on Michigan Avenue, but they don’t have to do much.

“That is, Thanksgiving, other holidays, and other holidays are 365 days a year for heaven. It’s good to be closed,” says Philip Burton.

Almost all retailers are closed nationwide, and this trend could become the norm in the future.

But even though the stores are closed, companies like Target said they needed workers to prepare for Black Friday morning shopping on Thanksgiving night.

They join other tourists in the hope of trying to create a new holiday tradition.

The family at least left with a stomach full of Giordanos, one of the many restaurants open on holidays. In fact, after Thanksgiving, which was full of takeaways last year, the restaurant is reassuring to welcome guests.

“I ate a ham sandwich at home last year,” Burton joked.
